Quotes & terms

Get the product and the terms clear before production starts.

An export quote has to answer three questions for the buyer: what exactly, how many, and when. AuroSignal brings products, pricing, minimum order quantity and lead time into one offer, and keeps the version the buyer accepted next to the resulting order.

01

Describe what the buyer is committing to

Set out line items, quantities, unit prices, discounts and lead time, plus a summary and an expiry date. The buyer can see the scope and its limits before confirming, which is what keeps a later dispute about "what was agreed" short.

02

Share a quote the buyer can accept

The buyer gets a shareable page to review the offer and submit confirmation details. Quotes are tracked as active, accepted, superseded, revoked or expired, so an old version cannot be mistaken for the current one.

03

Keep the accepted version next to the order

Acceptance links the buyer and the opportunity to an order and creates a fulfillment record, retaining a snapshot of the agreed content. Revisions happen before acceptance; once accepted, the agreed version is what you work from.

A workflow in practice

Quoting a first order with a new buyer

A buyer likes the sample and asks for pricing on two quantities, plus how fast a repeat order can ship.

  1. 01

    Break the offer down

List the products with quantities, unit prices and the minimum order quantity for each line.

  2. 02

    State the terms

Write the lead time and the commercial conditions, with an expiry date on the quote.

  3. 03

    Record the confirmation

The accepted quote becomes an order and a fulfillment record; payment status is tracked separately.

Illustrative workflow. Acceptance records a commercial confirmation, not payment verification or an e-signature service. Public quoting currently uses CNY pricing.

The practical details

Before you get started.

Does accepting a quote collect payment?

No. Acceptance confirms an order. Payment status is a separate record that an operator updates manually with a note, and a manual confirmation is not verification by a payment provider.

Can the public assistant quote in any currency?

Its current pricing configuration is limited to CNY. Confirm the currency setup with the team before relying on this flow for a USD or EUR order.
