An export opportunity develops through samples, specifications, quantities and price rounds. Keeping the buyer record and the stage together means your next action is grounded in what you already know, and the signal that started it stays attached.
Company details, contacts, target market, notes and follow-up dates sit in one record, alongside the signal that surfaced the company. Assessments, activity, quotes, orders and fulfillment stay related but keep their own meaning.
02
A pipeline built around buying decisions
Follow opportunities through contacted, qualified, proposal, negotiating, won and lost. Record expected value and closing information where you have it, and keep closed opportunities as history so a buyer who returns is not a blank page.
03
See what needs doing today
The business overview collects leads awaiting review, follow-ups that are due and opportunities that have stalled. A manual score adjustment includes a reason, so judgement stays traceable.
A workflow in practice
From a public signal to a real opportunity
A signal shows an importer building a China-facing procurement channel, and you decide it is worth the hours.
01
Save the company
The signal and its source stay with the record, so the reason for approaching this buyer is never lost.
02
Confirm there is a need
Record the category, quantity, target market and decision role before advancing the stage.
03
Move it forward
Prepare the quote from the buyer context, then keep the order and fulfillment record in the same history.
Illustrative workflow. A signal is a starting point for qualification, not a confirmed purchase intent.
The practical details
Before you get started.
How are leads different from opportunities?
A lead holds company identity, sources and review information. An opportunity describes a potential deal and its commercial stage. They stay related but distinct, so a saved lead is not an inflated pipeline.
Does marking an opportunity won mean payment is confirmed?
No. Sales stage, order settlement and fulfillment are three separate records. Payment is confirmed or recorded against the actual order, and delivery has its own status.
